Nu-Earth occupies a key strategic position, caught in the orbit of two suns and a black hole. Since the discovery that black holes could be used as Warp Gates to any other point in the galaxy, Nu-Earth has suffered twenty two years of war. The Norts and Southers both fighting for control of this vitally important planet, have raised this one time paradise with Weapons of Mass Destruction to a near toxic hell, a nightmare place, that can only be occupied by those with special breathing equipment or the GI. The GI or Genetic Infantry are an engineered group of soldiers, created by the Southers in order to battle for the control of NU-Earth. Betrayed by their General in the Quartz Zone massacre, the GI were all but butchered out of existence. But one survived the massacre and is now waging a one man war on any, who stand in his way - joined by the personalities of his former comrades who survive embodied within his equipment.
